Welcome to Batch Baby, your neighbourhood multi-award winning coffee shop in the beautiful enclave of De Beauvoir, London. Since 2021, we’ve been serving high-quality drinks in a warm, welcoming environment inspired by our showstopper of a building, the Rose Lipman Building, and the 1970s.

Batch Baby was founded by Saskia and Tom, a married couple whose passion for coffee and hospitality runs deep. With a combined 20 years of experience in the coffee industry, they've honed their craft in both fast-paced and speciality-focused environments across the industry. Their journey has taken them across three continents - working in notable spots Nomad Coffee in Barcelona, Society Café in Oxford, and Origin Coffee Roasters in London. These experiences have shaped their approach to hospitality, marrying the speed and warmth of customer service of Australia and Canada with a high quality approach to food and drink honed in Spain and the UK.

At Batch Baby, we pride ourselves on offering expertly crafted brews made from the finest beans, paired with a passion for creating spaces where you can relax, connect, and enjoy life. Whether you’re grabbing a quick flat white or settling in to work for a few hours, we aim to offer an inviting atmosphere for all.

We're also a multi-award-winning coffee shop, recognized for our dedication to quality and community. In addition to our focus on coffee, we host a variety of events, from wine nights to chef takeovers, bringing people together in fresh and exciting ways. Our ever-changing menu ensures there’s always something new to try, keeping your coffee routine as adventurous as it is satisfying.

At Batch Baby, it’s not just about serving coffee - it’s about crafting experiences, making lasting connections, and creating a community that feels like family.

Our Cafe

Our coffee shop is proudly located in the Rose Lipman Building, an iconic piece of Haggerston and De Beauvoir architectural history. Officially opened in 1969, the building is owned by Hackney Council and managed by the wonderful team at Mill Co. It’s a space that’s deeply connected to the local community and, if you’ve spent any time in the area, you’ll know the Rose Lipman well - its unique vintage charm and bold 70s architecture make it a landmark in the neighbourhood.

The building is a stunning example of brutalist architecture, with its raw concrete structure and high ceilings that create an open, airy atmosphere. When designing Batch Baby, we were inspired by the building’s character and harmonized our cafe’s visual identity with its distinctive 70s features. The space’s industrial feel, combined with lived-in homely touches and a nod to mid-century dining spaces, create the perfect balance of vintage charm and modern hospitality.

Along with Batch Baby, the building houses a variety of creative offices, as well as a multi-functional hall upstairs that’s available to hire through Mill Co. Being a part of this vibrant, creative space is one of the things that makes Batch Baby so special. We’re incredibly proud to call the Rose Lipman Building home and are excited to contribute to the ever-growing energy of this amazing part of London.
